Designing for our HP Indigo digital press

We support desktop publishing applications that are Postscript Level 2 compatible, such as QuarkXPress, PageMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Freehand. If you are working on the PC platform or if a program you prefer is not listed, please contact us to verify that we support your files. Variable data printing is easiest with Mac QuarkXPress files.

Best results are achieved using papers designed for the Indigo. We stock specially treated gloss, dull and uncoated in a variety of weights, and Kromekote for Indigo in 10 pt. C1S or C2S. Other papers which are acid-free may be compatible, depending upon the design and ink coverage. We recommend testing prior to press run. While heavier sheets perform better, the maximum thickness is 12 pt.

The Indigo supports paper size of 12" x 18". The maximum image area is 11.7" x 17.2". This must include bleeds and trim marks. When preparing a file for Indigo digital color printing, please set your document size to the actual trim size. We will use impositioning software to place the maximum number of items on the press sheet.

Our HP Indigo 3050 produces beautiful results. However, we encourage you to let us examine a pdf of your design prior to deadline. We may offer to print a test to insure your satisfaction with the final output.
